See the LPM Series create precision square tube ends for orbital welding preparation
Overview
The LPM Pipe Facing Series provides fast, accurate tube end preparation for small to medium diameter tubing. Whether you need perfectly square ends for orbital welding, clean faces for compression fittings, or light chamfers for assembly, the LPM series delivers consistent results in a portable package.
Key Advantages
- Cordless freedom - DC battery models work anywhere
- Precision control - 2mm feed per revolution with depth scale
- Tube-friendly clamps - No deformation on thin-wall stainless
- Compact & portable - Lightweight for field service
Which Model Should You Choose?
For sanitary and instrumentation tubing (3-25mm):
The LPM-1.0DC is your pocket-sized tube facing tool. Perfect for instrument fitters, refrigeration techs, and anyone working with small-bore stainless. Battery power means true cordless operation.
For general HVAC and food service tubing (6-50mm):
The LPM-2.0DC is our best-seller for a reason. It covers 3/8” to 2” tubing—the sweet spot for sanitary and HVAC work. Light enough for all-day field use, accurate enough for orbital weld prep.
For workshop production (up to 63mm):
If most of your work is at a bench with power available, the LPM-2.5AC offers more torque and unlimited runtime. Worth the extra weight if you’re facing tubes all day.
For larger process tubing (up to 114mm):
The LPM-4.5AC handles up to 4” tube—and includes 30° beveling capability. This is the choice for pharmaceutical and food processing facilities with larger sanitary lines.
DC vs AC: The Real Decision
Choose DC (Battery) if:
- You work at customer sites or in the field
- Power outlets aren’t always available
- You need to fit into tight equipment spaces
- Portability matters more than runtime
Choose AC (Corded) if:
- Most work is at your bench or in the shop
- You’re doing production runs (50+ faces per day)
- You need to handle larger tubes (>63mm)
- Weight doesn’t matter, power does
Design Highlights
Reinforced Clamping Points - Aluminum body with embedded steel inserts at all thread locations. We’ve seen competitors’ machines strip threads after a few months. These won’t.
Arc-Shaped Stainless Clamps - Large contact area means even clamping force. No scratching, no deformation—even on polished sanitary tubing.
Customization Options
- Clamp Sizes — Additional metric/imperial sizes and custom clamp sizes on request
- Power Source — Battery (DC) or corded (AC) options
- Blade Type — Standard and heavy-duty blade packs available
